Technical & Methodological Review
The Technical Review Committee shall:

• Assess the research problem and rationale for clarity, relevance, and scientific
significance.
• Evaluate the appropriateness of the research question, objectives, and hypothesis,
where applicable.
• Assess the appropriateness of the proposed study design and methodology.
• Review the study population, inclusion and exclusion criteria, and sampling
strategy.
• Evaluate the adequacy and justification of the sample size.
• Review data collection instruments and procedures.
• Assess the validity and reliability of questionnaires, assessment tools, and other
research instruments where applicable.       

• Review proposed laboratory, clinical, epidemiological, or other technical
procedures.
• Evaluate the proposed statistical analysis plan.
• Recommend improvements to enhance the scientific quality and feasibility of
research.
• Identify methodological weaknesses that may affect the validity or reliability of
research findings.
